Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Project Oasis platform (referred to as "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Project Oasis is an interactive platform that connects micro-donations to verified NGO campaigns. Each donation is visualised through low-poly digital assets (trees, rocks, flowers, buildings) placed in a shared, real-time 3D world.

3. Donations and Fee Transparency

All charitable contributions are processed via Stripe and routed to target charities via the Pledge.to API. During the beta period, Project Oasis takes zero platform fees. Stripe card processing fees are grossed up during checkout so that 100% of your chosen tier donation price reaches the respective charity. All donations are final and non-refundable.

4. Interactive Placement Rules & Conduct

When placing tiles in the shared world, you agree to place them manually and in good faith. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

• Using automated scripts, bots, or page scrapers to query coordinates or automatically place objects.
• Obstructing, manipulating, or exploiting grid coordinates to degrade the experience for other users.
• Providing custom labels, usernames, or text that contain offensive, hateful, or copyrighted material.

We reserve the right to relocate, edit, or delete any digital assets or text that violate these guidelines or are deemed inappropriate.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, source code, 3D meshes, designs, textures, graphics, and logos on the Service are the sole property of Project Oasis or our licensing partners and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.

Making a donation and placing a digital tile grants you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to display that virtual object in the shared 3D ecosystem. It does **not** transfer any ownership, copyright, intellectual property, or title of the digital models, land coordinates, or code to you.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates third-party tools, including Stripe for payment card processing, Pledge.to for distribution routing, and Supabase for database hosting. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that your transactions are also governed by their respective terms of service and privacy statements.

7. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer

The Service and the 3D world visualization are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be active, error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Project Oasis, its creators, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform.

8. Termination

We reserve the right, without notice and in our sole discretion, to terminate or suspend your account, block your IP address, or remove your placed tiles from the shared world if we believe you have breached these Terms of Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or related to the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
